We had dined at Loquita multiple times prior and it quickly become our favorite restaurant in Santa Barbara so knew we wanted to host one of our wedding events here.I worked with Megan at ACME Hospitality to plan the event and she was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the entire process. We had 30 people and reserved the smaller patio located in their outdoor space and it was perfect. The food was amazing and there was SO much of it. We ended up having a lot of leftovers because of how much food they gave us and our guests were able to take some home, which was nice. People were telling us it was some of the best food and red sangria they've ever had.Mark, our server, was absolutely incredible and was so on top of keeping the drinks flowing for our guests. So many people came up to us afterwards to tell us how impressed they were with him. He was so kind and fun to be around and overall just really great at his job.The food, the drinks, the atmosphere — everything was absolutely perfect. And considering how much food and alcohol we got, we felt like it was a good deal for the price. I highly recommend holding an event here if you're considering it.Thanks you to the Loquita team, Megan, and Mark for making our welcome dinner so special!
Patio was gorgeous, the service was informative, kind, and quick and the food was 11/10. Three of us shared 5 tapas and the chicken paella and each dish was better than the last. I don't write reviews, let alone for places that are across the nation from where I live....yet this dinner was above-and-beyond extraordinary. Well done, all around.
Great for tapas. Being European, we like the ability to order smaller dishes and dine for a longer period of time. This place definitely accommodates for that. The food is great and the staff as well. I do think it's very over-priced, but that's really up to you whether you think it's worth it. We had a great evening. I would recommend sitting inside if your looking for a more buzzy and cozy atmosphere.
This used to be my all time favorite restaurant in Santa Barbara, but I was so beyond disappointed with the recent change in food quality on my last visit that I was embarrassed how much I hyped it up to my friends and family that were visiting. The paella has doubled in price and plummeted in taste. There was next to no rice in the paella, I couldn’t taste any chorizo, and the large paella is just extra meat which makes it feel like there’s even less of everything else and on top of that the extra chicken that doubles the paellas price was dry. Overall very sad to have lost my favorite SB restaurant: servers were amazing as always though!
The food was not special at all. Mostly lacked flavor. I was expecting much more from this place.
