We were definitely surprised by the quality of food served here: super good and very authentic! The service was warm and very fast. Ask anyone who wants to taste authentic Chinese restaurant.
This place is incredible! Definitely the best Chinese food in Santa Barbara. Food and service were excellent. We had the spicy Dan dan noodles, dumplings and shredded pork in brown sauce, all were delicious. Be sure to return
Holy Moly, as a person originally from Sichuan, her food is incredibly authentic and amazing! No typical American Chinese food outlet! Your food is for real Chinese flavor! Probably the best Sichuan food I ever had in North America. I live in Vancouver Canada, where a huge selection of decent Chinese food is available, but this restaurant offers good service, amazing food and cheap price! Hands down!!!! I just wish they could come to Vancouver because their business will be Skyrocket! A real hidden gem in Santa Barbara, as we just drove the street here and found this jewel randomly on Google Maps! Thanks for the hearty experience!
Traditional Szechuan restaurant serving up classic entrees plus a few typical Americanized dishes. Went for lunch and ordered the Dan Dan Noodles. The noodles were soft and the ground pork was well seasoned. The chile oil and Szechuan peppercorns created a spicy mouth numbing sensation just as intended.
Whether you enjoy a meal here or not will depend on your expectations. It is clearly Chinese, and not American Chinese. Virtually everybody in the restaurant is Chinese, the service is brisk but aloof, characteristic of the Chinese culture. One single man seem to be answering the telephone, escorting people to their seats, and serving them their meals all at the same time! Although I had called ahead to make reservations, the man doing the seating did not seem to care and just sat us at a random table. The food, as strange as many of the dishes were, pork intestines , was actually quite good in a Beijing China sort of way. We probably will not come back, looking for more of a American Chinese restaurant, but I can see where the Chinese people themselves would enjoy their meals there.
