If you love hot dogs and tacos you will love this place. We got both the carne asada hot dog and al pastor dog and both were super tasty. Hot dog is wrapped in bacon with melted cheese cheese, cilantro, Mayo, mustard, and ketchup. They also sell tacos and tortas which I imagine are also legit.Personally we preferred the carne asada.
Best Pastor in town. Plan on having a nap if you get the large pastor hot dog. Order the grilled peppers on the side.
After a very long, hungry walk up Milpas Street on a Saturday evening as many restaurants were starting to close, we stumbled upon this place almost out of desperation. What a great surprise! There are just some places you get the feeling that there is authentic food being served by people who care and this is one of those great alternatives to the much hyped local famous places and the franchises. My one word of advice: Do not place it safe and order regular tacos! Go for something adventurous, like I did with the platter called costillas de puerco (pork ribs) that comes with perfect rice and beans and a spicy chile verde type of green sauce. The meat just falls of the bone absolute perfection when paired with the handmade (thick) tortillas. My Peruvian wife just loved her bistec americano, which is sort of a beef stew served on a platter with perfectly seasoned meat and potatoes. The service was excellent and you really feel like your were at home in this setting. We are so glad we did not just keep walking another 3 4 blocks to the famous place. This place is a GEM and please give them your business.
