Via Maestra 42 - Santa Barbara

My sister and I dined at this restaurant twice, and both experiences were fantastic. We had the pleasure of being served by the same waitress, Laura, who is expecting a baby boy in just 12 weeks. She was incredibly sweet! During our second visit, we were the last customers there, and she encouraged us to take our time. I highly recommend this restaurant—the pasta with vodka sauce is simply amazing!

Update: I had the pleasure of meeting Nicole, the owner, for a second time. She gave us a lovely Christmas card and a Panettone, which was such a treat. Thank you, Nicole! It was awesome!

We always enjoy dining at Via Maestra. Since we live nearby, we usually walk over. 3 PM is a great time to visit, even on a Saturday. The outdoor seating area is nice, with well-spaced tables and ceiling heaters; however, you will have to contend with the noise from State Street. One thing to note: all the servers share service at your table. I find that a bit unsettling, especially in a smaller restaurant, but rest assured, your table won't be overlooked.

Great place for lunch, bright decor, with outdoor seating. It has a self service salad bar, priced by weight, mostly organic. The sandwiches were pretty good. Friendly service!

BEST Italian spot in town!!! I find it hard to find some decent food ever since I moved here, but this is our new spot! been here multiple times this week and will continue to support this amazing restaurant. Great food, kind staff, perfect! 10/10
