The cafe can get busy, so it is recommended to make a reservation or be prepared to wait for a table (especially for larger groups). The service was a bit lacking, but it could have just been an off day for the staff. The portion sizes are generous (especially compared to European standards) and the food is decent. The highlight is definitely the cake experience, and I would also suggest checking out the gift shop. Overall, it is worth a visit.
This hotel is a great pit stop for a quick bite while driving between Los Angeles and San Francisco. The hotel is beautifully designed with a predominant pink color scheme. The Copper Cafe and Bakery was just as charming as the rest of the inn. The service was lovely and the coffee was excellent. I was especially intrigued by the pink sugar. The desserts, especially the cakes, are famous here. The grilled cheese sandwich we ordered was delicious and the fries were crispy. I would definitely recommend stopping by this place.
I spent a day at the hotel and decided to come in for breakfast. Our waitress recommended the corned beef hash, and it was absolutely delicious and satisfying. The homemade breakfast biscuits were also amazing. The restaurant has a unique and beautiful ambiance. Don't forget to grab some pastries on your way out. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience.
Valentine's day is not the day to go here. It happens to be our anniversary and we had reservations for 6:30. Marked as an anniversary meal under special requests. We were seated immediately and ordered pretty quickly. I opted for the ravioli inAlfredo sauce. Horrible decision! It was so loaded with salt it was inedible. I was going to force a few bites down and not havethem make something else but it was impossible. So I just ordered the quickest replacement I could think of, two eggs over easywith bacon, so that my boyfriend's food didn't get cold. It didn't work that way. We waited over 25 more minutes for my two eggsto get to our table while his meal got cold. When I did receive my food it was also cold!!! Congealed broken eggs stuck to thelimp cool bacon that punctured the yolk long before I got it and soggy room temperature hash browns. At least the dinner salad Ihad was fresh. I don't even know what to say about this experience other than it was a horrible disappointment but at least thecompany and ambience was noteworthy. We mentioned to our hostess and the our beverage server that it was our anniversary, but noone mentioned it or even asked us if we wanted any desert at all Wich was odd. Hands down the worst experience I have ever hadhere. And this WAS our go to for birthdays and special events, but no longer.
First time visitor for breakfast while visiting daughter. Made a reservation. Server Sierra was great; friendly, attentive and quick. Luz was also great, friendly and funny. He kept my coffee filled. I will definitely be back
