They were extremely rude and unprofessional and did not even apologize for the trouble they caused me. They called me bad names when I left and acted as if the situation was my fault. If they can't make orders, they should turn off their store on the door shop.
Wow, standards have gone down since I got pandemic. I run here a first thing I notice that music with mild professionalism and a little loud, which was not a good mood. It was over to go, but then decided to still order as I was hungry. After I got my order, another track began to play, which was illegally vulgar. I thought one of the 4 employees would realize that this is not appropriate and would turn it off, but to my shock Nope.. Fortunately I came alone and not with my children.. That, and the bread was so tender and it wasn't almost as good as I remember it was earlier.
What happened to Ikes!? Their food used to be so good (pre-pandemic). I havent been to Ikes since the beginning of 2020. I went a few days ago to another location, picked up my go-to Matt Cain on French bread, and the bread (usually the best part) tasted soggier. Kind of like Subway 's bread ...thinking it was just a one time thing, I went yesterday to this location, hoping the bread would be as fresh as I remember. Unfortunately, the bread was the same, soggy tasting, and just unimpressive. Did Ikes change their bread ingredients to save money? It honestly tasted like a Subway sandwich, and for 12.95+ tax (around $14+ after tax), the sandwich is not worth it. Ive asked around to a few friends who used to be die hard Ikes fans, and theyve also noticed a difference in taste (primarily the bread) post-pandemic. After these two unfortunate incidences, Im sad to say I can no longer afford to pay $14+ for a mediocre sandwich, and will have to say bye to Ikes.
Sweet sandwich experience at Ike's. They seamlessly handled our gluten free needs, using fresh gloves and gear. A good veggie selection available. It wasn't the cheapest 2 GF sandwiches (meat) and 2 bags of kettle chips came to $25 before tip. Not an every day choice, but with it.
The young lady who supported me was only the sweetest and most patient despite all insecurity and ask! I went with the first thing on the menu and I am so happy I did! fresh, tasteful, filling, innovatiw. I can go on and on! I also appreciate that the complementary pocket of chips and drinks a first time!
