The dumplings, which are a highlight of the menu, were only lukewarm and tasted like the frozen ones you can buy at Costco. The borscht was mediocre, although the half slice of bread on top was tasty.
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. First of all, it's quite expensive—$20 for only five buuz. I also had to wait 40 minutes for my order. To top it off, there were no utensils included for takeout, which would be a nice touch to provide as a standard.
The food was amazing! The interior is really adorable as well. I love the atmosphere, and the food was served quickly. I can't wait to return!
Amazing food!!! Really cute inside too. love the vibe and the food came out quick. I can't ewait to go back :
I was sorely disappointed in the Beet Borscht. It was actually quite good except it was $16 and portrayed as a meal instead of just a bowl of soup. I was hungry and it literally had 3 little pieces of beef enough to be three very small bites. The most disappointing thing was that the wait person was not accommodating at all and told me I could pay extra to get some more meat. When I asked to speak with the owner, the wait person didn't want to cooperate until I insisted and then after 15 minutes when I was almost finished eating I was told the owner would talk with me if I walked back to the kitchen to talk with her. There was no interest in satisfying my needs. I most likely will not go back and won't recommend this restaurant to my friends and family. This seems like a high price to pay to lose a customer over a dollars worth of extra meat.
