It was pretty good and the fries were excellent especially with the ranch. But they had a really nice flavor all by themselves. It was a little pricey but good and the atmosphere was very creative. They also offer vegan desserts like sundaes with whipped cream...all vegan : , as well as regular stuff and vegetarian options. I loved the music, my kind of electronica, dance type stuff. They were also very openly lgbtq which seemed to add to the whole creative ambiance and sort of open, all inclusive feeling . I hope to come back again when I have more time.
Ambience: 4.5/5 Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Great place for kids. The staff was really nice and courteous. They were dressed up as different animals. The was a very old non working refrigerator at the entry gate where they kept food menu. The tables had transparent top with underlying art work. Ample seating space, beautiful ambience. The serving size was big and food was delicious. Highly recommended!!
We decided to go to this restaurant after a nice afternoon at the beach and based our choice from reading reviews. What drew me was the types of meals and since we were in the mood for a simple burger/sandwich, we decided to go for it. I read a review about a potential parking situation at Walgreens so we decided it would be best to park on the street. Since going vegetarian 6 months ago, I've been craving a club sandwich so I was beyond excited to find this option available here! I had to pay an additional $1.50 for vegan ranch but that wasn'ta big deal. However, I was not impressed by how little the kids plates were. They barely gave them a handful of fries each. I ended up having to share some of my sandwich with my kids which I had plenty of so it was ok. The other con was that our waitress was not very friendly and seemed to be annoyed with us being there. In any other situation, I would have called her out on it but I didn't want to make it an issue. She couldn't even crack a smile while serving us. Whatever, we went for the food and not for her. Food was tasty and hit the spot. Also ordered a chocolate madness for dessert and it was plenty for 4 people to share. We will definitely be back to try different vegan/vegetarian options in the future when we're in town!
This is the best vegan/vegetarian option in Santa Cruz. Simple food well made. My personal favorite is her tomato soup with one side of garlic fries. I also highly recommend their shakes: get them vegan, the coconut whipped cream is great!
I was so happy to visit Saturn Café during my time in Santa Cruz. I have ruled the location in Berkeley until the shutdown. The food is incredible and most of it can be made vegan. The buffalo “chicken” salad is one of my favorites served with vegan ranch and gluten-free onion rings above! There are many vegan/vegetarian options in Santa Cruz but do yourself a favor and stop through Saturn!
