While they may not cater to those seeking super spicy options, if you're looking for a good crispy wing at a reasonable price, this place has you covered. Their Sriracha-based sauce is absolutely delicious. The portions are generous and definitely worth the price. Tawne and Scott provided outstanding service during my visit. Great staff. Tasty food and some good beers on tap. Nine pool tables, they charge hourly not per game. Ping pong tournaments on Thursday night. Only bar in Santa Cruz city with a pong table that I am aware of. Gets crowded for pong on Friday/Saturday nights. Good patrons as well.

This is the best pool hall I’ve ever visited! There’s plenty of space and the tables are modern. Additionally, the atmosphere is laid-back, with fun games and great drinks.

The staff is welcoming and attentive, creating a friendly atmosphere. The bar boasts an impressive selection of unique beers, ciders, and frozen spirits. However, the real treasure lies in the food. From lemon pepper chicken wings to soft shell crab sandwiches and the juiciest Lucy burger I've ever had, the delicious offerings will make you feel right at home. The food is skillfully prepared by an incredibly talented chef who clearly pours her heart into each dish. In a world where places with character are becoming rare, Surf City excels at bringing people together. Don’t let the negative reviews dissuade you; some expectations are simply unrealistic. So, head over to Surf City! You won’t regret it.

This is my favorite bar to go to in Santa Cruz hands down!! The ambiance, the pool, the drinks, EVERYTHING. The manager Tawni is the MOST kind, welcoming, sweet, hardworking human and she is seriously the cherry on the top of this place! I see the effort she puts into billards and it shines through everyday! Absolutely love this place ?
