Contribuisci feedbackDined here 3 times in october 2019. All food was good, although the vegetables were a bit overcooked sometimes, but the meat was exceptional.
I was hungry, and on my own. Polite as I am, I waited for someone to tell me where to sit. And waited. And waited. Finally the owner, a Swiss guy, showed me a table. It took 20 more minutes to get me a menu. Another 20 to let me order. I ordered the most expensive fish on the menue. The waitress told me it would take 35 minutes to prepare the meal, and advised me to order an entrée. I ordered a salad. When the salad arrived, it was fridge cold, and showed absolutely no signs of love or inspiration. After a small eternity, the fish arrived. It was OK. If you´re alone, or don´t enjoy waiting, just don´t go here. If you work here, suggest to your boss to hire another chef, and another waitress.
...Franconia is the only restaurant serving Swiss cheese fondue on the island at all ! So it is easy to be the best. But it is. Rightly so, since the owner is from Switzerland and knows the secret recipe -fondue being staple food for the Swiss. This fondue has just the right taste, right consistency, made from a perfect blend of Swiss cheeses, garlic, white wine and a dash of Kirschwasser. Second best on the menu -and cheaper- is a perfectly fried 'Cordon Bleu Special '. A tender piece of pork, stuffed with juicy cooked ham and melting Raclette (Yes, another Swiss cheese). Delicious. Plus a wide array of very good beers on draught. This all makes up for the rather gloomy atmosphere of the restaurant, hidden in a chilly cellar underneath an apartment building in Puerto Naos, furnished with heavy oak chairs and tables. The decor is anyhow no reason to avoid this place for repeated visits over the years.
This place was great! Friendly service and excellent food. We brought our kids here and they enjoyed it too! Something for everyone. Highly recommend the fish in a salt shell.
This family run restaurant in Puerto Naos La Palma Canaries is simply perfect. Spotlessly clean throughout including the kitchen the food mainly meat salads etc was cooked to perfection. The wines/beers wide variety/choice fabulous ! and the German owner and lovely staff were so nice and friendly. Anyone visiting the area must eat in this wonderful restaurant it was a pleasure eating here as other local restaurants proved a bit disappointing at times !!.
