I was given a meat soup starter after I had told the waiter I didn’t eat meat. We shared a plate of vegetables grilled on the parillada which were nice but some of the vegetables were a little under cooked. I then had tuna ‘meatballs’ in a tomato sauce with salsa and rice which was nice. Although the incident with the soup had made me suspicious of the tuna dish so I had to make doubly sure with the waiter that they hadn’t snuck meat into these too. My partner had a Iberico pork dish with chips he really enjoyed, then for dessert I had a cream dish which wasn’t very nice but my partner had a berry mousse which was great. If you fancy a change of menu from the more traditional guachinches then you will enjoy the food here, staff are nice and friendly too, there are outside tables and a large inside eating area. We had a bottle of Albariño wine here which made a nice change from the too sweet white wine that most of the traditional guachinches do. I do think it’s bad though that if someone specifically mentions that they do not eat meat that you then bring them a soup with meat in it. Also despite not being that busy the service was painfully slow here.
After a long search for a place to eat, we found this little pearl : The welcome was very nice and the food even better!! To start we had a beef bouillon for free and nice bread from the oven. I had a great steak with really nice baked potato’s ... my wife had a mushroom dish with langustines. As a dessert I had chocolate mousse that tasted like eating pure chocolate! Even the Espresso was great : We both loved everything about it!!
