Mixtura is a fantastic place to eat in Santa Cruz. Either if you are just visiting the city, on a business lunch or want to throw a birthday party. Their staff will make sure of your needs and will do their very best to match them. They have a great range of wines and are specially careful if you let them know you have a food allergy or intolerance. Highly recommended!

Probably it's not terribly well known but Tuna is caught through out the year in Tenerife . But I am not sure why, that sometimes they import from the other islands so it's not at its freshest . Also sometimes even if its fresh it's overcooked and dry ! Nothing like that at Mixtura! This small tapas bar is run by girls that certainly enjoy what they do ! They do have a menu del dia ! But then u don't get a chance to pick your favourites. The portions are not enormous but they certainly are big enough and if you're still hungry there is plenty more to choose from . I think the ideal would be to go with a group and share ! I was busy in between meetings and famished and they certainly were quick and took note of all my peculiarities when it comes to sauces. They have nice cool beers on tap and a decent wine list ! And they have a nice covered terrace outside but they also have a small room indoors if you've had enough of the Suns brightness and heat . Will be back for more for sure !!
