Alabastro - Santa Eulària des Riu

We ate here as a family of 7 last night. it was the last night of our vacation and we hoped for something special. there were only a few others who were supposed to have alarm bells, but it was only 9 o'clock than we were. some of our appetizers were in order, but my eldest son shared the garnels with my wife and both later had angry. there was a long waiting time for the starter and an even longer waiting time on the net. In that did at one point a waiter came to us with the desert menu, provided as it had been so long that we had to get our main thing (we had not). I wonder if the food was prepared and remained forgotten because the lamb my mother and I had was stone cold. it had a strange crumb and green potato puree, neither very pleasant. others had fish and all reported it as not very fresh. all in all very disappointing and definitiw not of 5 stars standard.

We had received a free upgrade to half board, so we ate in our first evening at the hotel. there was nothing wrong with the quality of the main article, but there was only a limited choice and the leads were openly boring. we ate another evening and that dessert my wife was frozen. when she told the maitre d'/head waiter, he took it away, then brought it back with a knife! she could still not make her out of the country, so it just left. the main restaurant (Vi-Cool) is currently not even due to the change of buildings/extension work that is supposed to be completed by 1st juli, but when that happens I will be amazed.

We sat outside and enjoyed lunch. we had a glass of wine and a main meal that were both very nice. the service was good and the whole place very relaxing.

Very disappointed eating was good, but service terrible would not return. After we complained, we were told a problem in their kitchen that had delayed our meal, we were offered free french!

Standard good food and decent service. Also super chilled and lovely to sit outside (inside looks like an airport lounge).
