We were recommended the flash-fried spinach salad, and it was absolutely amazing—think of a crunchy, warm salad that's less about leafy greens and more about bold flavors and a unique twist. I’m not sure exactly how they prepare it, but it’s incredibly tasty! For our main dish, we chose the vegetarian cashew cream sauce with paneer, green peppers, and onions, opting for medium plus spice level. Our waiter mentioned that the chef usually keeps the spice level a bit lower, so we decided to go with medium plus. I might try spicy next time, but as it was, it offered a delightful heat and fantastic flavor.
**Ambience: 4/5** **Food: 3/5** We tried the Chicken Curry, Kofta, Daal Makhani, Rasmalai, and Mango Kulfi for dessert, along with some Delhi Chaat as an appetizer. While everything was decent, I found it didn't quite live up to my expectations, perhaps because I had read so many positive reviews beforehand. The space felt a bit cramped and cozy, but the interior decor and lighting were appealing. Overall, it's a nice spot if you're looking to switch up your usual cuisine. That’s about it!
We shared some Naan, and I ordered the chicken curry while my mom chose the lamb curry. The food was delicious, and I really enjoyed pairing my meal with a Taj Mahal beer. The highlight of our visit, though, was getting to meet and chat with Paddy, the owner and chef. He was such a great guy! Even though I'm not a big fan of Indian cuisine, I loved my experience at Raaga and the food was excellent. I would definitely return the next time I'm in Santa Fe.
Awesome hospitality, great relaxed vibe, flavorful, fragrant food. My husband and I visited here after reading the reviews, and we weren't disappointed! We were warmly welcomed by the host and the chef upon arrival and quickly seated. We had lamb curry, rosemary naan, and mango lassi. Everything was fresh and delicious. To cap off wonderful service, the chef came out to the table to chat, and he was so lovely. We're planning to come back soon! Maybe tomorrow...
My husband and I stopped eating Indian years ago when we went vegan, as it was very hard to get dishes without ghee. What a pleasure to open a menu and see numerous vegan dishes, clearly identified. The standouts for were the lentil coconut soup appetizer, the huge portioned veggie biryani, and the veggie tandoori. The wine and beer list had nice offerings, too. Quite pricey for Indian food, but more of a fine dining experience than your typical Indian place. The ambience was quite lovely and we appreciated the chef/owner checking in with us...he is quite the charmer. I'll come back and replace the fifth star when they offer a vegan naan and rice pudding; come on guys, it's not that hard, I know you can do it!
