Go for a day, but don't give more money to Aviatur. It's not ecoturism...
I'm mad. After talking to an aviatur agent who assured me that, although the reservations for the data I considered were not yet open, my friends and I would be able to visit the park, I bought my airplane tickets to Santa Marta with the only purpose to finally visit this beautiful park. The agent suggested I wrote an email to her and called back a moth after I check for openings (not able to tell me when exactly I should be able to make the reservations). After a few weeks I called again and they told me the same story to wait but not to worry. Well, today they told me the same as I received an email (after a month) to inform me that the park is closed all November 2015. I couldn't find this information on the Internet, and the agents I spoke to on the phone didn't have it either. Because of their inability, lack of transparency and efficiency and their poor quality, I am now with airplane tickets (and my friends who come across the Atlantic) and my dream of visiting Tayrona will remain a dream. I can't trust this company. Thanks for nothing.
It is the best option to eat in Tayrona! This place is very clean, the chairs are very comfortable and the food is really delicious. We had the set menu lunch, it includes soup, main dish, a natural juice and desert, only for 15000 COP. We tasted the fish with coconut rice and patacon, it was very good! The card payment is available for 50 000 COP and up. The restaurant in Cabo San Juan is disgusting and expensive!
We were here for two days. The Cabañas are very nice and clean. The stairs are friendly and safe to help. You choose to walk to the cabins (about 1 hour), or drive on a rider (40 minutes). We were surprised that it was style a long way to go to the beach about 20 minutes. But nature is beautiful and the beds are good.
