Contribuisci feedbackThis was our second visit and guaranteed that it will not be our last. The baked Calamari Appetizer was a meal and enough for 4 people. We enjoyed the lobster and baked Jumbo yarns both times, order it come into the wireship with Maracuya sauce. Our server,ANNIE, was exceptional to welcome us and help with all the questions we had. Very recommended.
First comment: The tripadvisor site was just wrong. a clever taxi driver brought us there: his location on a city hill, in a quiet and discreet atmosphere.. the best place is in the garden, with salsa or ballenato music. the menu opens the real creative side of the Colombian-magdalene gastronomy that we are in the department magdalena, the Caribbean coast side. I advise you only: try something: it will be a “Hermosa sorpresa”.
I am somewhat surprised at so few reviews of this facility. We recently enjoyed an excellent evening meal while celebrating a family birthday. It was a windy night so we chose to sit inside. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They did not have menus in English but offered to bring over another staff member for me , but the other members of our party were Colombian so it was not necessary. I usually do not comment on specific food dishes but the coconut shrimp were outstanding and the presentation was a first for me. There were presented in small individual glass vases. A clever touch of presentation. I highly recommend a visit to Punta Brava.
They way my daughter in law and her group were treated by the owner/manager damaged the good image we had of the restaurant. She was verbally abused by the owner when she complained about the service! The employees were using old t-shirts as rags to clean the tables. The employees are also mistreated verbally by owner and management you can feel they are working under a lot of stress and are afraid of their leadership. Horrible work environment!!! We will never go to this restaurant!!!!!
My wife and I had lunch with a couple of family members last month, and enjoyed our experience at Punta Brava very much. Punta Brava is a restaurant bar club where one can enjoy a good gourmet meal and then relax in its ambiance or take a dip in the outdoor pool. Whether it is a romantic dinner with someone special, or a gathering of friends or business associates, Punta Brava is perfect for all occasions. The restaurant offers a provincial fusion menu including fresh seafood, beef, pork, poultry and rice dishes. LOCATION/ATMOSPHERE: Punta Brava is located several blocks away from the beach on top of a limestone bluff overlooking the El Rodadero resort district. Large, continuous windows offer a panoramic view of the area. Punta Brava is tastefully decorated with accommodations of up to 250 people. A central staircase leads to a bar on the second floor and additional seating. The restaurant caters to pleasure diners as well as business people. Punta Brava also has conference and special event rooms, a VIP area, complimentary WIFI, and a play room for children. There is even an outdoor patio with swimming pool. The restaurant has a lot of class, with richly appointed decorating throughout. The cleanliness of Punta Brava is impeccable. THE FOOD: Overall, the food at Punta Brava was quite good. We ordered a variety of dishes including chicken, seafood rice and beef. The chicken and rice dishes were perfect and made with fresh, quality ingredients. My beef steak was tasty, but a little too tough and chewy for my liking. I would have given the food five stars had it not been for my mildly disappointing beef dish. We enjoyed a variety of fresh fruit juices which were excellent. VALUE: In my opinion, the value at Punta Brava was very good. The menu was certainly not cheap, but for the quality of the meals, and delightful ambiance, I thought that our lunch was a very good deal. The entrée selections ranged in price from 30,000 45,000 pesos. SERVICE: The service at Punta Brava is great... and very professional. You may have to wait a little longer than normal for your meal... but when it arrives, it will have been worth waiting for. It is obvious that the kitchen prepares each meal with care. Our waitress was exceptional... happy and cheerful. It was obvious that she enjoyed her job very much and taking care of her customers. I highly recommend giving Punta Brava a try. It appears to be a relatively new addition to El Rodadero that is earning a reputation of being one of the finer restaurants there. We plan on returning during our next trip to Santa Marta.
