Al Mare - Santa Monica

Location is nice, but eating is not good. there were 4 in our party and everyone ordered something else. Nobody really liked their meal. I have ordered an salad to begin it never came. a pasta was cooked, I get al dente, but partly crunchy is a whole other story. I ordered pasta bygole, super dry, no sauce at all. the ambiente is like a cheerful bar and not like a beautiful Italian restaurant. save her money and go somewhere else!

The second floor terrace is a great location to observe the sunset while enjoying a good meal. It's even better if they have someone they can enjoy.

The gnocchi was really good! my friends also liked the pizza, but I thought the crust would be a bit dry.

The food was good, and the look of the dach was fantastic. very romantic. there were also several other couples up there. the service was a little slow, but not the worst. I thought the prices were good for the location.

The food tasted bland. No seasoning. It tasted like if it was frozen, definitely not fresh. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area. Avoid this one if you are looking for fresh food that tastes great.
