We recently dined at the restaurant in Loews and enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and happy hour. The outdoor seating area with a fire pit and views of the beach provided a beautiful and safe dining experience. During happy hour, the waiter brought out blankets since it was a chilly day. Inside, the tables were located in the lobby and next to large glass windows. The dinner menu had a good selection of dishes. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with options like hearty breakfast meats, fluffy waffles, and avocado toast. They also offer pancakes and healthier choices like muesli with sliced apples and Acai bowl with blueberries and roasted coconut. The coffee was flavorful and not watered down. Happy hour, which starts at 5:00 pm, offers a 50% discount on all drinks, bottled wine, and appetizers. We enjoyed the beet burrata, meatballs, and the impressive raw tuna appetizer. The lunch menu had a delicious chicken sandwich with Swiss cheese, avocado, and juicy speck. Our servers, Eduardo and Julio, were hospitable and attentive. Overall, we had a great dining experience at this restaurant.
This restaurant offers a nice ambiance and friendly service from the waitstaff. We experienced some mistakes during our dinner, but they were promptly fixed and we were not charged for them. For the price we paid, I expected higher quality food and fewer errors with our orders. In my opinion, we overpaid and I would only consider returning if the prices were lowered, despite the pleasant atmosphere that is perfect for a romantic evening. We spent $150 for two people without even ordering alcohol or dessert.
Amazing view of santa monica pier and the Pacific. warm fire pits and friendly service with good eating.
Our server, Vincent, was the perfect host and made the evening worthwhile- attentive and everything done with a smile. Along with spectacular ocean views, expansive wine selection and cozy, comfy seating round a fire pit, these were the positives. They even offer blankets. With the beautiful ocean view and soothing sound of the waves, one would expect the food to match, but unfortunately, it was disappointing.A way overpriced piece of plain chicken sitting in a stew of beans that tasted like they've come from a can, had an off' taste about it and left me with a sore tummy. Ambitiously complicated sounding dishes couldnt make up for the reality. Come for the ambience, and a drink and wonderful servers like Vincent, but I'd suggest saving your appetite for elsewhere.
