Lime Cafe - Santa Monica

Exceptional! This restaurant truly deserves more recognition. The head chef and team are remarkable. They offer a diverse menu with plenty of options. The lunch atmosphere is fantastic. The burgers and pizzas are excellent, and the daily specials along with the soup are top-notch. Plus, they provide convenient mobile ordering and pickup services.

The major disappointment for me was that they promote gluten-free pizza on their menu (and website). However, when I arrived, the head pizza chef informed me that they actually don't offer gluten-free options. There was no further explanation as to why it remains listed on their website. On a positive note, the staff member preparing the salads was friendly, as was the cashier. My salmon salad was quite good. Nonetheless, it would be great if they added more gluten-free choices to their menu. The restaurant has nice seating areas both inside and outside, situated in a part of Santa Monica that definitely needs more and better dining options!

The food is fresh and delicious in the morning. The cook can be a bit grumpy, but that adds to the charm, and his cooking is top-notch.

Nice stop for lunch at far-end of the Santa Monica Expo’s light-rail stop at Bergamot Station. There’s a small buffet along with great cafeteria-style options in a well-lit indoor section along with lots of ambient daylight for their sit-down tables.
