Great food and fast service. we enjoyed the ambiente and the personal was friendly.

Loves the restaurant and the load. beautiful ambiente with characters. eating and service were great. feels like home. will definitely go back.

I haven't been there for 12 years. our server was amazing and eating was great.

Terrible. my family and I were on time for our reservation for afternoon tea. waits for the hostess stand to take a place. hostess comes with a tablet of glasses, makes something behind that stand and does not recognize us or at least say, "I will be the same with them". Instead, she's driving a few minutes. she's coming back and still doesn't recognize us. I wonder if we should wait here to take a place, think that maybe this wasn't the host. she says yes and I let her know about our tee reservation. she says there's a 45-60 minute waiting time. I said: “Even with reservation?” she goes away when I ask if we come back in an hour and sit immediately so that I follow her in the restaurant. she goes into the tee room and a waitress, you say we have to wait. the tee room looks kind of charming, but it's a very small room and a lot crowded. looks like there's hardly any space to walk around and everyone's staring at us. No one looked like they were happy. outside the tee room is another room with 5-6 pairs, which also waited for the afternoon. the host said that some had waited for more than an hour. we left immediately and had a makeshift after midday tee in le pain quotidien, which was great. it will never again ye olde kings head try.

This poor review has nothing to do with the food, atmosphere, staff or noise level. I booked Boxing Day tea on Open Table for a party of 4 and arrived at our reservation time. There was a VERY long line, but I assumed it was for the main restaurant. The polite, but completely overwhelmed, hostess informed us that the tea was overbooked and seating would be maybe an hour . We waited for about 30 minutes and watched what looked to be the only server in the tea room scramble to accommodate those seated and field questions from those waiting. It was clear we wouldn 't be seated anytime soon and opted to go elsewhere. The staff we interacted with were completely professional and the tea looked amazing. In future, I hope the management does a better job and avoids the chaos the Open Table system created.
