I recently visited the Village Bakery in Santa Rosa for the first time, and I was truly inspired by the experience. I enjoyed a delicious quiche Lorraine and a latte for lunch, both of which were excellent and offered good value, considering the high quality. The service was very efficient and professional. I’ll definitely be returning soon!
Unfortunately, during my recent visit, I encountered some issues that left me disappointed. I called on Saturday at 4:50 PM to check if they still had bread available. A male employee assured me they had plenty in stock. I mentioned that I would arrive in about 15 minutes, and he said he would see me soon. However, after making a quick stop, I arrived at 5:15 PM only to find the place closed! When I called to ask why I wasn’t informed that they closed at 5:00 PM—just 5 minutes after I indicated I was on my way—he explained that they were still wrapping up and didn’t think they’d actually close right at 5:00 PM. I believe they should have taken better care of me, especially since their hours had changed recently and I thought they closed at 6:00 PM. His lack of warning left me feeling quite let down, as I expected to at least have until 5:30 PM to arrive. Despite this experience, I will continue to shop there; I just hope for better communication in the future.
A wide selection of tasty baked goods, many do not find anywhere. Local favorite Bella Rosa coffee and outdoor seats also!
The best English muffins I've ever had! They also make some cardamom rolls that taste just like I remember from Finland...yummy!
