Recently got lunch here and called 25 min before they closed at 3pm. I was told since it was close to dinner we would be charged the dinner portion... odd but we didn 't mind. However, the food was absolutely not what it normally is. Pad Thai was extremely dry and our crab Rangoon were overly cooked. They definitely let us know how they felt about ordering too late. Next time.. just don 't answer the phone.
Food was flavorful and spicy! We each got different dishes and agreed all were definitely must have on the next trip. Service was quite good. Not rushed with the right amount of time to decide on dishes. Ambiance in character for Thai atmosphere. Would go back for sure.
We are in for vacation and last night, we wanted something inside (because it is sooo hot outside! and different than local seafood/burgers. We found Thai Elephant on line and drove over. They were packed. We got a table very quickly and they took our drink order immediately. We ordered an appetizer at the same time. A few minutes later, the server took our order so time was not wasted at all. She was so sweet and apologized for the delay. We ordered our entree and soon after, our appetizer (spring rolls were served. They were some of the best spring rolls I've had. I ordered pad se ew and my husband ordered the basil fried rice. The quantity of food was enough for 2 meals. He forgot to order spicy fried rice but they brought some chili peppers and some chili sauce. He said his fried rice was excellent even though he forgot to order it spicy. My pad se ew was delicious. It had just the right amount of spice and the texture and sauce were spot on. I can't say enough about how good the food was. It was really excellent. I wish we lived closer but 3 hours for Thai food may be a bit of a stretch. My one thought was that the food was pricey for rice and noodles but since we have enough for 2 meals, it's not bad. I highly recommend Thai Elephant.
Visiting from Canada where we have a lot of authentic Thai this place was amazing. The servers were polite the food delicious. We went several times over the course of our visit. Prices were reasonable factoring in our exchange rate. Thank you so much for the pleasurable experience. We'll miss you!
