The last time I visit him in February '16, it takes me a great disappointment regarding the first time I visit him in 2013. in this last opportunity the attention was regular. the food, which although it was rich, what they sell to you like the big sandwich "the october" was a sandwich in lactal fargo bread, which I can do well in my house. the price seemed elevated. its real and only point in favor is the country atmosphere and obviously the location in the peach.
Going to meet the peach, and with the midday on top (and the hunger with him) we went to the cottages of daniela to eat. When we were closed the restaurant there we went to the pulp shop, a place for other picturesque people. part of the building belongs to what was a Jesuit stay of 1700 if I do not remember. I knew this thanks to the fact that Oscar, the owner of the place, in addition to serving us lunch, reached a historical overview of the place written in a paper carefully plastified and prepared for visitors. The truth is that we ate very well, in a very relaxed atmosphere, down the gallery, sharing with two tables more, one with a family like us and a group of bikers. all nuanced with the kindness of oscar, that when he brought us something he would chat with us, counting anecdotes, citing places to visit and even taking pictures. Although it is not the best restaurant in the universe, the environment, originality, a very good meal and personalized attention are very much rescued. all this immersed in the absolute peace of the peach.
The pulp shop is a dining room and a field store located on the predium of the hotel patios of the peach (the most important of the village). It works in an old adobe building (data of 1780) recycled to new, with a warm gauchesca decoration. It is clearly observed that it retains only the walls of the original, but it has been reconstructed with good drip and respecting the style of the old octoberries. is an ideal place to have breakfast or snack, especially in the outdoor gallery overlooking the beautiful courtyard of the hotel. during lunch is filled (at least in season) and is more noisy, which takes away the tranquility that characterizes it during other moments of the day. it is not the most economical restaurant in the village, nor the most traditional. far from being the place of meeting of the locals, it is a tourist-oriented business. Nor does it have astronomical prices that prevent it from visiting, rather average costs for Argentine tourism. It is served by the owner and his family, a very kind man who is permanently willing to satisfy the orders of the customers. they lack some coordination and dip a little in basic aspects: for example, they forget to bring napkins, or bring breakfast to a waste (e.g first the drink and a while later the toast, so that the coffee cools or you have to eat the toast without drink to accompany). no doubt attention is very informal and one does not expect anything else, but there are details that cannot fail and can make you a little upset. They don't break down the place but they should be taken into account as things to improve. We were one morning for breakfast. We were offered a country breakfast with homemade bread toast, fruit sweet, milk and butter (48 c/u). all right, the riquoise toasts, but they brought us only 5 for 2 people (they were big ones). They certainly did not reach (they were not even the same amount for each one), we asked for more and they brought us at no cost. But at the table next door there were two couples with boys and they did the same. Two pans with 5 c/u toasts brought more. But it's not a minor detail because if some comensal is shy, it will certainly be discontented and hungry. and for those who are not shy it is also quite annoying to have to walk asking to complete the breakfast (or to mention that with the delay the coffee was frozen). It is a very important point to improve. Another day we saw the place for lunch. We asked for ravioles (they were fine, but they were nothing special) and a toast of ham and cheese that I specifically ordered well toasted (I always ask so that they don't bring it cold). the toast came out with an excellent and original presentation (pan, ham, bread, and melted cheese above) but with the cold fiambre. return to the kitchen so that finally, once my partner had already finished his lunch, my toast will arrive, this time hot, although with the medium burnt cheese and the disastrous presentation (I prefer it so before I cold must say). taste was good. another important detail to improve. In short: the picturesque building and the beauty of the environment jotify the visit to the pulp shop and the friendly attention makes forgive some details to polish, especially as far as the food refers.
I was on Friday 7/7/2017 to the peach. We wanted lunch and it was closed. There was nothing open in the whole town. I am informed via facebook that I was permanently closed
