There were 3 in our party and we ordered from the daily menu: two portions of Squid... (Polvo à Lagareiro) and one of the poultry sausages (Alheira no forno). I don't care to wait for my food, but 1 hour and without an explanation for the delay I find completely unacceptable, especially so many who came after us were served first. When the food finally came, a part of the squid Miniscule and the squid was hard (the cook had no idea how to cook it). The garlic that should be placed in very hot olive oil was raw, because the oil was 't hot enough and there was hardly any coriander (both important ingredients for this dish); my part of Alheira was very small compared to those I had seen pass during the hour we waited and the sausage was tepid, the rice and the salad was drowned in olive oil. All this without so much suffering for the delay or enjoy your meal, I guess they knew we didn't. If I eat, I always eat dessert, but after the catastrophic main course I wouldn't risk it. The only thing that was not disappointing was de decor, as it was still the same as I had seen in 2013. For years I wanted to go back and now, where I have, I will never be seen there as long as this manager and chef work in the restaurant. Stay clear here and go instead to Alpiarça, to Danidoce.
Walking the Camino Santiago came here for my meal, had short ribs with rice and beans, full of taste, so good, friendly staff.
Good ambience, excellent food, very nice staff. We had typical food and it was very delicious. Locals love this restaurant.
Mario of Santarem Hostel has recommended this place and I am glad he did. This restaurant has an excellent location, warm ambience and good food. Prices are quite reasonable and the service is also very efficient. Do not hesitate to recommend this place for a meal.
You should visit this restaurant if you want to get all the typical portuguese experience. It's located in the city center in a really small street, the space inside it's really cozy and you'll love it for sure. The food is really good and you...should ask for help there if you need to know anything about our city because the guys are ver nice.
