Out of business. So sad. It's closed. Because what we need is another Mexican place.... better be good.
Now this spot is full of flavor! When I went I ordered the combo plate of rice, chicken tikka and beef kabob! All of it was amazing and it was a big portion also. I was full but kept eating because it was honestly so good, and they have a lot of beer options which always makes things better. When I walked into Darya Grill I didn't know what to expect, but their customer service was so nice and friendly. I have been to a lot of mediterranean restaurants and this place was a lot cheaper than all the others ones. I can't wait to come back and try the Gyro Sandwich! Try them out you won't be disappointed!!
This place is amazing. I ordered the beef and chicken combo. The beef was very good, but the chicken was absolutely amazing. The chicken was tender and juicy. At many other places the meat, especially chicken, are very dry. Give this place a try, and I recommend ordering the beef and chicken combo plate.
I hate like hell to have to write this review, but I feel compelled to let fellow Santee residents and the proprietor about my experience on 10/17/20. I have been ordering/eating-in at this local eatery since they opened, a couple times a month. Anyway, the round kid(male) working there always asks if I want to add a tip on a pick-up--I'm old-fashioned and I don't want to tip anyone when I collect my carry-out order. Anyway, yesterday, the kid in question decided to tip himself without my permission. He rang $1.23 up and asked for my signature--I asked why and he said he needed it as he accidentally rang $1.23 and my signature would void the transaction. He then rang me up for my food purchase. BTW, I dropped $1.00 in change in his jar, and he witnessed it. Well, I went home and looked at my card statement online and discovered the $1.23 was still on the card--it's not about the piddling amount; it's about deception, and I want his mommy and daddy to know I will no longer patronize their restaurant for his willful dishonesty.
