Oishii Japanese Thai - Santee

Did the check in today and the free appetizer spicy edamame wasn't honored. It's on the Yelp I guess they haven't removed it yet. I ordered it anyway because it's is usually so delicious along with the red curry and chicken. Spicy level 5. Was disappointed with both items. The edamame had way too much sesame pile and very little little and spice. The curry was also very little spice and watery. I'll be back for another taste n the future and see how things go.

This place is a staple for me and my family. There's a ton of thai food restaurants locally in east county and Thai Thai 100% takes the cake. No comparison. Food is amazing both take out and in house. You can't go wrong and the customer service is always great. Great selection of beers and sake as well! Can't say enough good things about this place. The have literally the best spicy garlic edamame I've ever had and we always use the sauce on our rice and other menu items because it's just that good. Other staples include the Tom kah soup, pad Thai, spicy noodles, fried rice, egg and spring rolls and most recently the orange chicken. 10/10 would recommend- we don't go anywhere else in SD for Thai. Don't overlook this hole in the wall!

I ordered the PAD SEE-EWE combo with a appetizer sampler tonight. I really need to start taking pictures before I start eating them but the sampler came with crunchy egg rolls, cheesy crab, shrimp tempura, fried calamari and gyoza. Great crunch on the shrimp and egg rolls. Those were my favorite. The PAD SEE-EWE had plenty of the different proteins. They had it ready by the time I got there about 15 minutes. The dining room was small but cozy. The staff were happy. I look for a happy group of people working together. We will go back again.

We love Thai Thai! We just ordered food for the office and it was a hit! We ordered veggie noodles and Pad See Ewe. Always great every time. Thai tea was so good. Not sweet at all but that's my preference. Would always recommend Thai Thai.
