They are open from 8am to 4pm daily, with more lunch options available than breakfast. The cherry juice they serve is so good that I wish I could have it every day. They also sell vegan protein powder.
The experience was fantastic! The majority of the menu is vegan, with the exception of a few items like biscuits and granola. I can't wait to return for another visit.
The food at Casita Vegetariana is excellent, with a variety of vegan options (except for honey, as noted in the listing). I visited this place about ten times in 5 days and was impressed by the cheap prices. A meal with a juice typically costs between 100-150 pesos ($2.50-$3 US). The restaurant is open until 6PM every day, except for Saturdays or Sundays when they close at 3PM. However, I once arrived around 5PM and found that all the food for the day was gone, even though they were still open. To be safe, I recommend arriving a bit earlier. Casita Vegetariana offers a buffet style dining experience with a small health food and vitamins section attached. If you are in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for a meal.
First and foremost, I would like to address the confusion surrounding the listing of this restaurant. There are two addresses listed - Casa de Salud and Casita Vegetariana. This review pertains to Casita Vegetariana, which is situated on Calle Restauración. The card is incorrect as the actual location is on Calle Mella. If you are walking from 30 de Marzo towards the Revolutionary Monument, you will find it next to a parking lot with "Restaurante Vegetariano" painted on the side of the building. The food and variety offered here are excellent, with most items being vegan (except for those containing honey, as the listing mentions). I dined here about ten times in just five days as the prices are incredibly affordable - a meal with a juice costs between 100-150 pesos ($2.50-$3 USD). The restaurant is open until 6pm every day of the week, except for Saturdays or Sundays (closing at 3pm). However, I visited once at 5pm and found that all the food was already gone for the day, despite the restaurant still being open. It is advisable to arrive earlier to ensure you get a meal. The restaurant operates a buffet style with a mini health/vitamin section, making it a popular choice for those looking for nutritious options. Overall, it is worth making the journey to dine here when in the area.
This fantastic small restaurant with an attached shop offers a variety of vegan products for your travel needs, including tofu (soyaqueso). They are open from 8 am to 4 pm, with more lunch options available than for breakfast. The cherry juice is so delicious that I would happily drink it every day. They also sell vegan protein powder. #Veganuary.
