Do you want a couple tacos without eating on a car on the road? go to el pata. they will find very good pastor tacos (at 5 for 56 pesos, great worth and other great decisions. there is a mini playground for children, they...will love it, although for children less, that 4 years old there can be a bit of a problem, since the restaurant has no one to watch the children, there are some parts in the game that small children can fall (at least) and I could not go and get them, I had to get them on to get out of the playground. this is probably my only complain about the place, but I will go back, especially for the pastor and costilla tacos!
Tacos are delicious. The place is always packed but service is quick. They offer a small street sized taco that are great if you want to try something. The tacos de pastor y pastor de sirloin are delicious. My husband likes the Que me vez...with pastor, steak and cheese. I unfortunately cannot eat that all the time and struggle to find healthy options and sometimes get tired of cactus. The vegetarian option of pineapple, mushrooms, peppers and onions are done perfectly. They aren't over oiled and have great flavor. There is a great variety of salsas, red, green, pineapple and cilantro, and other ranges of salsas varying in spicy. It is really clean. Heads up: there is a huge difference between a small and large drink. The large is like movie sized soda large. They have great juices: try the lima. The homemade tortillas are delicious. They come out hot. The service is quick. It is clean. Worth eating there more than once.
The locals says the best tacos are the ones bought in the streets, the ones that foreigns wouldn't be brave enough to try as we might not have the same body resistance... so, according to them, it is the real mexican tacos just in a...fancier and a bit pricey place. The tortillas are handmade and fresh, I try go there whenever I go to Queretaro.
Nice place, excellent service. Do not forget to ask for Pastor de Sirloin and Chuleta con Tocino tacos....
