I am from argentina and have been living in Panama since 2010 and the city has changed a lot during these years. One of the changes is the opening of many restaurants and many of them have artisan beers. I have to say that this has my favorite ones. The beers from la Fabrica are not a little acid like most artisan beers. They have 5 different types of beer. They are all perfect cold and delicious. The food is also great. Last time I went there with my 3 kids and there is something for everyone. My little girl had Shakshukita, which is a tomato sauce with moroccan spices and two huevos estrellados that get cooked with the steam from the sauce. My14 year old girl had the Smoking Guns which is a dish salmon and homemade bread with a green mayo sauce, lemons, grape tomatoes, avocado, cream cheese and fresh cilantro. My older son tried the Sloppy Joe 's that is a mixture of ground beef with tomato sauce, kalamata and peppers, prepared with a variety of spices with a touch of avocado, cilantro and sesame sauce. My wife and I, being vegans, had 12 Maravillosos (12 Wonders) that is a xtraodinary oriental type mini salads served with house bread: Cherry-basil tomato, asian eggplant, Babaganush, Beet, Moroccan Carrot, Hummus Amba, Classic Hummus, Hummus Beet, Spicy 110V, Matbuja, Pickles, Paprika. After that we shared a hummus and falafel. They also have homemade lemonade and different alcoholic beverages. The place is oyside and the breeze from the sea is great. Ambiance and music really nice, although may be a bit too loud. Highly recommend this place!!
I stopped here for dinner while staying along the Causeway. The food and service were both very good, the beer good but not spectacular, though worth stopping for in a nice outdoor seating area.
It's a bit out of the way. The beer is so so. La Rana Dorada is much better. Bought the $15 all the beer you can drink. Could not down 3 beers as they are not well made. Skip it and go to La Rana
I stopped in La Fabrica after spending a long, hot day on Taboga Island. The location is convenient on the Causeway. The restaurant is very cool, lots of covered outdoor space. I loved it! The beer menu is small; they have other mixed drinks besides beer. The food was the real star. I got “The Original” hamburger and added cheese and an egg, DELICIOUS! It was so good the flavor was amazing; it was juicy. The egg added the right amount of salt (I ha e found that many of the dishes in Panama could use a little extra salt). The prices were quite reasonable compared to other places we have been in Panama City. I would definitely recommend stopping in for a beer and a burger of you are in the neighborhood.
I've been here twice, but tried the same thing both times. This place has outdoor seating, is pet friendly and has good music. I've had the sliders, which are 4 small burgers and they are delicious. I've also had the hummus with falafel, and let me tell you, it is one of the best falafels I've had. They have some house beers which are very good, my go to is Capunga. Staff are all nice. You will have a good time here.
