It is to be expected that a café in Oscar Freire would be overpriced, so I wasn't really surprised by the prices. Tostado Café Club has a nice corner space with tables outside and inside. There are not many vegan options but the menu is very clear about what they are so that is helpful. It is a pity that in the branches in Argentina they offer vegan substitutes for the toasts, but not in Brazil. So, I had the V Grill sandwich, which consists of grilled zucchini, eggplant, pumpkin, dried tomatoes, tapenade, and vegan cheese in a spinach bread. It was really good, all the veggies were very tasty and their vegan cheese was delicious! The bread was a bit too dry, though. It is not a big sandwich, and it's basically just veggies, no patty, so the price is not that fair, in my opinion. For dessert, I had the vegan alfajor, and even though it was good, the name is very misleading it is nothing like alfajor. It is a gluten free cocoa paste with a peanut butter filling, so it is more of a healthy treat. I was expecting something more decadent because of the name, but I enjoyed it anyway. They have other options of vegan desserts that might have been better. Overall, I would recommend this café, just be aware of what you can expect!
I’ve ordered the only vegan burger option available in the menu. The burger was ok, but not amazing.. It’s nice having few vegan options anyway. No vegan sauces available, either ketchup. And if you are vegan, and If you can, try another place
