Veggy Way - Sapporo

I had a great experience at this restaurant, located near Maruyama Park. My husband and I enjoyed a delicious lunch here before going bird watching. We returned at 3 p.m. to indulge in their decadent parfaits, which are only available from 2 p.m. My husband tried the burger, which was strong in flavor but tasty, while I opted for the saltramen, which was very delicious. We also tried the garlic potato chips and rice ball, with the latter unexpectedly containing fake meat that was quite convincing. The staff was friendly and accommodating, but make sure to call ahead and make a reservation, as the restaurant was almost fully booked when we visited.

Serves oriental vegetarian food. Their share is quite large, ordered 1 rice, 2 ramen and 1 page simply beautiful for 4 ladies :D

I feel we went to another restaurant compared to the 2020 and earlier reviews. There is no English menu and there are no variety of options, that is no problem, but what we ordered was disappointing. We pointed to one of each ramen on the menu with one side, but somehow only 1 ramen was ordered. When we realized that the 2nd didn't come, we didn't want to waste time waiting to reorder and just share. The fog ramen was ¥2,000 and while the broth was nice, the lower 1/4 of the bowl was overpowered by ginger and the main topping of fake chicken was actually quite rough. It was covered in any kind of jelly, I think meant to imitate fat, but the consistency and lack of taste made it terrible to eat. In addition, it was just an overpriced bowl with noodles and half a part of it since we split. Definitely disappointing!

I tried the Teriyaki burger and found it to be delicious, although a bit difficult to eat. My partner, who is not vegan, ordered the Shio ramen and said it was one of the best vegan ramens he's ever had!

Seriously, I’ve never tried a vegan teriyaki like this, it’s surreal! Food is delicious and beautifully presented! If you’re in Sapporo you must go there, you won’t regret it! Updated from previous review on 2021-06-25
