The refrigerator is the size of a microwave with no freezer, (we like to put our ice packs in the freezer for when we go to the beach). No fan in the bathrooms. The pool and gym are hard to find and there 's no signage that says pool or gym anywhere. One of the elevators was out of order during our entire stay which was an inconvenience and the manager was unaware of the situation when confronted and offered no information as to when it would be repaired. It was also never disclosed to us that there was a cost for the parking! We were overly generous towards the valet parking attendants only to later find out we were charged for daily parking!! Other than the great location, this place left a lot to be desired. I don 't spend money to go on vacation to be in a dreary and depressing room that looks like a prison cell devoid of any color! Another interesting dynamic about this place is that the building is shared with private residences, including the pool and jacuzzi. Will not be returning to this place. Expected more from a Marriott run establishment.
Staff is not courteous. Rooms are not spacious. Once again coffee machine was not working. Was asked to go to the lobby for coffee. Elevator stopped working for a while. Definitely not Marriott standard.
The hotel lobby is a bit stark and very modern. Check in was easy and the people very friendly. Seems like a younger clientele. The only negative is that the hallways and rooms are noisy! I was taking a nap before dinner and I truly thought someone was coming into my room. It was someone going into another room down the hall. Oddly noisy. Even when people are walking down the hallway to their room. They’re not talking loudly, but I can hear every word they’re saying. So bring ear plugs. If you’re a light sleeper, I’d go somewhere else.
Hotel is in a great location, and rooms are fine but hotel comes off as dirty right when you walk in. Just like other Marriott hotels, it needs a good scrubbing. Valet is only $20 which is a bargain and you can walk to great restaurants and the water. Fine for the price or 30k Points.
This hotel is a great option for dog owners, but if you're allergic to pets, you might want to consider other places. It's clear that they don't restrict pets to certain floors or rooms, so I struggled with coughing all night due to my allergies to most dogs and cats. The hotel is conveniently located, and the bartender on Wednesday evening was excellent, but the food menu was quite limited. The breakfast hours were also later than ideal for a business traveler, and definitely below what I would expect from a Marriott property. The valet service was convenient and exceptionally friendly, and the front desk staff was very accommodating. However, the rooms are quite small and can be very dark if they face the courtyard; many rooms overlook each other rather than having external views, which seems like poor design for a downtown location.
