I was so glad to find a place that made fresh bread! The bakery is closed at noon, but there was still a beautiful size Laaf in the form I needed, also poppy rolls loaded with poppy flowers that did not fall off, and even a Hamburg-based full wheat beer. We were only in Sarasota for a week or I would stop there a lot. I torn slices of the big foliage that proved so delicious. The price was right, and the person waiting for me was very helpful. I recommend this bakery as “the real thing”.
This is only the best bread in town by far. And prices are very reasonable. I can only recommend this bakery.
I never buy bread in food bread or bakery. There's no comparison. The hours are 7-12. Go early for the best selection. Happiness and it can still be warm.
We had bought Nicklaus' extraordinary multigrain bread every week for years and years. We try to resist bravely the delicious assortments of breads with walnuts and cranberries, raisin and so on.....not always successfully. The quality of all his bakery is impeccable, the taste heavenly and the loyalty to the Sarasota's clientele is remarkable. We think that Nicklaus is at this point a feature in Sarasota and an example of what a person can accomplish through inspired hard work. Kuddos to Nicklaus, his family that supports him and his excellent coworkers.
