Bavarian Bread - Sarasota

Awesome European bakery. Fabulous crusty breads and a delicious raisin bread. Danishes are delicious and actually have fruit in them. Cheese danish was also old school delicious. The pretzels would be great on game day!!!

The penne alla vodka here is the best I've ever tasted, and the service is outstanding!

They have the best European style bread to the person that complains about touching bread without gloves: obviously you have never been to bakery in Germany or other European places no one there ever wears gloves obviously you are st.....ped we love this bakery so ha mara please dont come back go to Walmart quit badmouthing this beutifull bakery ha mara shut up

Horrible experience! The old lady who works there was very very rude. When I asked a question about the types of bread she basically snapped at me. She touched the bread with her bare hands no gloves. Then I noticed that she had tossed my one loaf of bread and the three small breads in a plastic bag without any type of wrapping. I asked her, is there no paper bag wrapping, she said it's too expensive. Huh? Just have the option and I'll pay for it. I was also very disgusted by the hygiene of the store. At the end, I told her that she is being really unfriendly and rude to me. She didn't care. I paid, went back to my car and just couldn't stomach the fact eating her bread. I went back inside the store and returned the breads I had bought. Money gone. Day basically ruined. I don't recommend going there. Even at 7am the selection is very basic. The store is nothing special and I do not understand the reviews and recommendations. I would NEVER go back there. Even if this was the last place on earth selling bread.

I eventually told her that her attitude was unfriendly and rude, but she didn’t seem to care. After paying, I went to my car but couldn't bring myself to eat the bread. I went back inside and returned it. Unfortunately, I'd lost my money, and my day was basically ruined. I can't recommend this place. Even at 7 AM, the selection was very limited. The store is nothing special, and I don’t understand all the positive reviews. I would NEVER return, even if it were the last bakery on earth.
