Crab Fin - Sarasota

I ordered the eggplant crepes and the crab cakes. They were delicious.

Great Happy Hour If you can score a seat at the bar or at a table in the bar area and it’s before 5:45pm, you can get a great deal. Drinks, including their house cocktails and most of their wines, are half off. There’s a nice list of small plates at excellent prices that are also available. We started with a couple of good cocktails. Then we shared the delicious happy hour fried shrimp. We followed that with the happy hour mussels—one of the best bowl of mussels I’ve had in a while. It was served with a basket of bread that was perfect to sop up the lovely mussel broth. Next we had the happy hour ceviche which was a generous serving and really tasty. We moved off the happy hour menu to get the Monkfish, which is discounted in the early evening. You don’t see monkfish on menus very often, and this one was very good. It comes with a soup or salad and we chose the delicious clam chowder. The plate it nicely composed with a starch and veg accompanying the monkfish. A shout out to our server, Barbara, who was very kind, helpful and efficient and moved us along at a pleasant, unrushed pace. We enjoyed our dinner very much and we hope to return.

Everything was amazing. It’s a little loud but the food and service made up for it. The yellowfin tuna entree went beyond my expectations.

Roger, our server, top notch. Very knowledgeable and concise. Lunch was a real pleasure. We’ve lunched/ dined on a 1/2 dozen occasions over the past year, always on point.
