Detwiler's Farm Market - Sarasota

Great fruit- vegetables selection with great deals. Seafoods are amazing. Homemade cookies were on sale also. It is always something going on at Detwiler's besides I truly love their Christian belief even that Sunday is closed ? and the background Christian music.

I was very sad when I first moved to Florida and discovered that Publix was a monopoly and very pricey. When we found Detwilers we found a gem! I love the produce, fish, meat, bakery deli. I especially love the ice cream shop in the front for a reasonable tasty treat before, during after shopping.

Great selection unlike other big box places. Got a giant thing of Raw local honey super cheap and a big sub for $7.99... will be back

The absolute best place around for fresh food! The produce is local, fresh and cheap. The variety of fruits and vegies is remarkable. We try some new fruit every time we go. We even made chocolate from a cacao fruit we got there. The fish market is fresh and cheap with a great selection. The butcher shop is the same. The deli is wonderful and their subs are fantastic. Head over to the bakery and you will find so many made from scratch desserts! The wellness section always has great sales and you can find just about anything healthy you are looking for. Hard to find local eggs are a steal in the dairy isle. Before you leave you must try their ice cream. Oh my, the praline pecan is amazing. The staff here is friendly, very knowledgeable and always willing to answer questions. Be sure to follow these guys on Instagram as they are always posting about specials!

Detwiler's is more than just a wonderful place to buy higher quality groceries at reasonable prices. It is an experience. We often do a family trip to get the Yoder's ice cream scooped at the front of the store. I didn't realize this location was here. We've been going up to Palmetto. No better place to buy fruits and vegetables (and pumpkins). Excellent treats. Go once and you'll understand why Detwiler's is so popular.
