Manna Tea Kava - Sarasota

Great spot! It's larger than many kava bars I've visited. They have pool tables, video games, and even a stage for live performances. It was quite empty and laid-back on a Wednesday afternoon at around 2 PM, but the bartender mentioned that it gets more lively in the evenings. There's also free Wi-Fi available and some slow charging cables for convenience.

The atmosphere is fantastic, the drinks are excellent, and everything is reasonably priced. If you're in need of some food, there's a place inside that offers that as well.

What concerns me is the lack of professional communication, which can create an uncomfortable environment for those who want to feel safe in such places. If my presence was an issue, it would have been straightforward for the staff to ask me to leave or invite me inside for a kava drink, just like the employee did when they came out to speak with me. Instead, it felt as though someone acted in a way that was unkind and unnecessary, without really knowing me or the situation. I hope that in the future, the owner and employees can approach situations more rationally rather than emotionally. I wish them well, but I encourage others to be cautious—what might seem like a safe space can quickly turn against you.

WELL,It was my birthday, and my friend told me to go to this kava place. It was the open mic and I wanted preform with my friends for my birthday. RIGHT BEFORE OUR TURN we were having a good time when the owner came up to us RUDELY asking us if we bought drinks. One of my friends asked an innocent question about kava. She all of the sudden started raising her her voice at ALL of us. Let it be known that there was around 15 people with us to enjoy the night. She demanded us to leave if we weren’t going to buy a drink even though most of the people in the group bought drinks. Once she found out it was my birthday she tried acting nicer but I said NO THANK YOU, because I could tell she only wanted our money where we came for a fun open mic on my birthday!!! !!!!for owner…If you are reading PLEASE LEARN BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE PLEASE!!!)In conclusion, this kava bar has the potential to be an amazing place to go and have fun, but THE OWNER WHO WAS VERY RUDE TO EVERYONE AND ANYONE she didn’t like. This place is awesome and the owner really makes guests feel like part of a family. I love coming here on Friday's for fire performances. I have been looking for a place to spin fire for a long time and Manna Tea Kava Bar is perfect! Their drinks are tasty and they have a good list of options. The overall feel is very artsy and whimsical with a outdoor picnic area with a swing, decorative lights, pool and ping pong tables inside, board games, chess, performing stage, pet turtles and fish. A very low key and cool place to hang out.
