New York Chinese - Sarasota

I just had an excellent meal at Bamboo Garden, which has new owners as of March 2022. The portions were generous and the flavors amazing. I tried the Crab Rangoon, which was the best I've ever had, along with Mongolian beef, Hunan Chicken, and Chinese donuts. Everything was delicious!

From NYC, for a year in Sarasota and this place is legit NYC style Chinese food...just fresh tasting. Great, clean taste. You can see everything they do in the kitchen that is a huge plus. No syrup sauces, no dried rice/noodles or oily rolls. Portions are large and they do not skip any ingredients. Speaking of portions, remnants tasted just as great the next day. Beautiful family works together behind the counter, which were super attentive and helpful. You only know that there are only a few tables, so it's usually a place of delivery. Great!

Our family has been visiting this restaurant for over 15 years, and we were worried when we found out it had been sold a few months ago. Thankfully, those concerns were unfounded! The food and service are even better than they were before! The interior has been refreshed, and as soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a fresh and inviting aroma. The Bourbon chicken and fried rice were just as delicious as ever, clearly made with fresh ingredients and served with crisp broccoli and vegetables. I highly recommend this restaurant for fantastic fresh food at very reasonable prices!

I grew up in NYC and lived in Florida for 20 years. Bamboo Garden has authentic NYC style Chinese food. Excellent bone-free ribs! Very good food and fast preparation.

This is the best Chinese food we've had since relocating from New Jersey a few years ago. We tried a wide variety of dishes, and everything was excellent, which is rare since we're quite discerning when it comes to food. We truly hope they are here to stay!
