Tela's European Bistro - Sarasota

I just love that place, European cuisine is excellent and the atmosphere and the owners are just wonderful. Everybody should try it it's a wonderful experience.

Mousaka was delicious but that's not enough to ever make us want to return. Food was overpriced and they overcharge you for mediocre items such as small side salads $5 each for iceberg lettuce, red onion and dressing. Bread was also $5 which I was unaware we would be charged for. My husbands pasta alla vodka with chicken was $21 and the chicken was chewy and gross. Then we had a problem using our Groupon and the owners wife made us feel as if it was our fault for not telling them about it even though it was lying on TOP of my credit card... ugh, good luck.

I Had the pleasure of trying Tela's bistro tonight for the first time. What a pleasure the violinist was just coming on at 6 o'clock. And Amanda the waitress greeted us and sat us at a very nice table by the window. We ordered the fried calamari's immediately and then looked at the menu. A very eclectic arrangement of food was presented on the menu. The calamari came quickly and they were amazing. The rest of the meal flowed like a dream and I was very pleased when it was time to go home. Friendly faces and good food makes for a very nice evening on with the owner and the chef came personally and Shook hands And thanked us. This is definitely on my list of restaurants to go back to.

Tela’s is a nice and cozy place! The owner Tela, and our waiter Frank, were very kind. Kids really liked the spaghetti and ate it all. We enjoyed Greek salad and spanakopita.
