Tropical Thai - Sarasota

As a vegan who enjoys Thai cuisine, I had high hopes for this restaurant, but I was left feeling a bit disappointed with the flavors of the dishes. My partner and I tried the Coconut Soup with vegetables, Panang Curry, Musaman Curry, and Rad-Nar Noodles. I requested a moderate level of spiciness for all our dishes, but unfortunately, the Coconut Soup didn't meet my expectations compared to other Thai places I've visited. Additionally, the Panang Curry and noodles ended up being quite spicy—definitely more than moderate for my palate. I also found the portion of noodles to be relatively small, mostly filled with vegetables. On a positive note, our server was wonderful—polite and accommodating. While I likely won't return to this restaurant, it wasn't the worst experience I've had.

Delicious and authentic Thai food!!! It's not too spicy if you request mild. The portion sizes are just right. The owner is wonderful!!! I can't wait to return! We enjoyed the mixed vegetable curry with chicken.

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! When I first walked in, I found the decor to be somewhat outdated and in need of some TLC. However, the food was outstanding and much more affordable than other nearby options. Don’t judge a book by its cover—this is a hidden gem in downtown!

We came here while we were visiting Sarasota and it was a lovely surprise: the food is delicious, we got chicken pad thai, fried rice with vegetables and chicken pad se ew... Everything was so good! The owner is really nice. If you're in the area Idefinitely recommend it!
