The cucumber salad and spätzle were very good and authentic. The Wiener schnitzel was severely under-seasoned and deep-fried in oil. The Swedish meatballs also lacked flavor. I have worked in Northern Europe, and my wife’s parents are from Germany and the Netherlands. If we go back, we agreed to only eat side dishes.

This restaurant serves delicious comfort food with a Belgian and German twist, but tailored to American tastes. Some popular dishes include potato pancakes with applesauce, roast duck with lingonberry sauce, Swedish meatballs with sour cream gravy, and homemade pastries like apple strudel. They also offer a variety of Belgium beers on tap, along with other beverage options. Overall, a very satisfying dining experience.

Our receptionist did not inform us that they did away with high-top seating, which was what we wanted. We were not given the option for booth seating. When we were seated, we were seated by order of persons arriving, which was ok, but it felt like being elbowed on top of other patrons. The server for our area skipped us and went to another table to take their order. We try to give the benefit of the doubt in situations like this, but we were not wanted there once we sat down. I won't say anything more than that. We walked out after a few minutes of the server skipping us, allowing the server to correct her mistake. The server never apologized, leaving things as they were, so we took leave.

On Christmas Eve, we had a reservation for a party of 8 people. There was no waiting time, and the waitress was delightful while the owner was fantastic. Overall, it was a fabulous experience.

The advertisement for the Christmas Eve dinner failed to mention that it was a fixed-price menu only, and also did not include the price. While I could have asked about this when making the reservation, I believe this information should have been made clear upfront. This lack of transparency from BB has caused me to lose trust in them. The service was also extremely disappointing, with a wait of 45 minutes for drinks and dessert arriving before the main course. It was obvious that they were experiencing problems that night.
