The chef is a rock star, and the other owner is a very talented artist. Both of their talents shine through in this gem of a place. Troy is lucky to have them. Saratoga's loss. Honest Experience. We went out for dinner. A friend of mine ordered the beef tongue tacos, took one bite, didn’t like it, and sent it back. When we got our bill of 236, it still included the tongue tacos. I asked for it be removed, I was referred to a “manager”. They began to propose, “the dish was made perfectly why should we have to pay for it because you didn’t like? We would be happy to package it up for you” I told her it’s not about how it’s made, she didn’t like it, and I don’t want a dish that may already be in the trash. If you want to make a fresh one and send us out with that, fine. Or, you can remove it from the bill. She began to re-present her point. I stopped talking, my other friend interjected and asked if they would make the fresh one, the “manager” said yes and walked away. I’m guessing the “owner” or someone higher than the first manager came to our table explained that they’ve removed the tongue tacos instead making another dish we didn’t like in the first place, and then proceeded to give us their opinion about how we should move forward going out and ordering foods from small business restaurants. I lost my cool, raised my voice and dismissed the person from our table with the check and my card. Tatu lost 10+ customers that night. Had he placed the new bill, thanked us for coming, and said have a good night; could’ve reeled us back in. The first person’s attitude was unnecessary, the second person’s comments were out of line, and had I let it affect my entire experience: the waiter would’ve lost their tip . The rice beans were sweet with cinnamon, the chicken tacos were bland, the saving grace was the jazz and the salsa. And Facts! There are No Straws. Kid-friendliness: Don’t bring your kids.
Great spot!!! Cool vibe with amazing drinks! The margarita was so good. The birria tacos are an experience! Soooo much flavor! The place has like a middle eastern/ Mexican fusion to it. Very cool and tasty! Definitely come by and check it out. Our waitress was Ally, I believe? She was great too! Super nice! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
