Florentine Trattoria - Saratoga

We had a delightful lunch together today, despite the rainy weather. The cozy atmosphere was just perfect! We absolutely love this little spot!

To start, this review focuses on the service, as the food is still 5-star quality—very good! However, the service was lacking. We love the bread, but to our surprise, we didn't receive the bread and dip this time. When we asked about it, the server casually said, "Oh, yeah!" But when I inquired if she had forgotten, instead of admitting it, she responded that they don’t provide the dip with the pizzas and soup we ordered. Seriously? Hahaha. Perhaps the main servers were on a break and we were attended to by the ushers or front desk staff instead.

A must-visit in downtown Saratoga! My friend and I ordered the following: a glass of Sauvignon for $13, a Florentine Cobb Salad for $17.95 (I had to pay an extra $0.75 for a different dressing since the vinaigrette was too salty), and the burrata for $13.50, which was quite good. We also got a large order of six pieces of bread for $3.50. The first round of bread is complimentary, usually 2 slices per person, and I always enjoy the bread here. It arrived hot and fresh, and it was delicious! The staff was friendly and attentive, and there’s parking available in the back.

DO NOT COME HERE. We came here for mother's day and had horrible service. Our server was a male about 6ft tall brown hair with a beard. He had a nasty attitude and needs to be fired. He was purposefully ignoring our table. We never got water refills in our 2 hours there. They forgot our minestrone soup, limoncello, and calamari. When we said we wanted to canceled those items he fought us about it and said it's be easier to just give us the food. Then when we finally got our food after waiting for over an hour the chicken parm was cold and the calamari was cold. This waiter was honestly the rudest service worker i've come across in a while and i work in food service, i know how stressful it could get but i would never treat customers the way he did. He honestly needs to be fired if he keeps treating customers that way. 0/10 DO NOT COME HERE.

Had their clam chowder soup and penne scampi. The sauce is very good for the pasta, but their clam chowder wasn't the best. The focaccia is delicious, would come back just for their focaccia.
