La Caleche - Sari-Solenzara

Slightly away from the busy part, lovely little restaurant which we popped into last min with the family. Would defiantly go back. Really nice food and Staff where great.

We stopped by for some pizza on our way to our hotel on the first night. We had no idea what we were walking into but the pizza oven by the front of the restaurant was very enticing. We ordered two pizzas and they were good. Good amount of fillings and good base. Our bases were better than a few of the others as ours weren't burnt. The pizzas were at a good size so it didn't matter if the corner was burnt anyway. We left our bag in the restaurant and they were very kind and kept it overnight for us to collect the next day.

This was one of the worst take away pizza's we have had since years. The cheese was not the correct mozzarella but ementhaler. We asked what the waiting time would be and the 20 minutes she promised became 40 minutes!

The 13E menu was a real bargain the day we stopped on this patio for lunch; choice of entree (tomato salad or oeffs mayonnaise) plat (penne bolognaise) digestive. Good basic food. The best buns and bread sticks that we had anywhere in France were served with the meal. Service was pretty good, and atmosphere was okay.
