Legacy - Sarnia

I was at Legacy with my wife to celebrate our anniversary, and everything was fantastic—the atmosphere, the service, and the meal itself. The prices were reasonable for the portion sizes and quality of the dishes. We’re looking forward to returning in the future!

The dining experience was excellent, complemented by wonderful and attentive service. The presentation of the food was exceptional, making for a delightful and private experience!

I had a terrible experience at the New Year brunch. Everything was served cold, and there was no warmth beneath what looked like an appealing spread. The bacon was soggy and sitting in a pool of grease. There were no homemade breads or desserts available. Instead of toast, we were given cold rolls with equally cold pats of butter. I won’t be returning for breakfast or brunch again.

We went to New Year's brunch. we had no waitress. the hostess brought us water and coffee, and then we never saw anyone until we were on the way. the waitress recognized us and asked if we were going. it was one of the strangest experiences I ever had. Nobody wants to eat in a restaurant where they are invisible to the people working there. hands down the worst service I had in a restaurant that had occupied only a handful of tables.

We had a bigger group of guests reserve a table for NYE. Dinner service was 4 hours long total from the time we arrived to the time we paid (7-11 pm), despite pre-ordering when we reserved from their limited NYE menu, which we assumed they would be prepared for. This “dinner” ended up ruining our evening and as we arrived very late to our other new years plans. Server disappeared for 30-40 minutes at a time, with no communication with regards to why there was a delay. Took over 30 minutes to get drinks. Food was all served cold and staggered amongst guests at our table. One of our guests had to send her steak back 2x before they got the cook right. Portions were way too small (one baby carrot and one piece of asparagus for the vegetables) and overall the food was not good and way over-priced (75 per meal plus drinks). Many of us left still hungry. There was a loud party next door with a band or DJ that started around 930 pm so for an hour and a half of our dinner we couldn’t talk to one another at our table without raising our voices. Very disappointing and unacceptable experience. Definitely won’t be returning.
