Saavaj Resort Sasan Gir

We unknowingly used a travel agent who booked us into the Saavaj; they sold it as an exclusive resort so we were surprised by the hotel. While the hotel was not what we expected it was a nice 3 star place. The best thing about it was the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff, especially Kapil and Salina from the front office. The resort is not used to catering to foreign visitors but they tried hard to accommodate us. They would like more foreign visitors. Pros: There is a pool, the grounds are beautiful with lots of birds, there is a viewing platform to observe animals at the river right outside. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable They provide limited amenities like shampoo and soap, a kettle and tea. It is close to the entrance to Gir National Park Plenty of outlets Cons: The rooms are outdated and either they need to improve them to reflect the website advertising or they need to change the website. The makeup mirror in our bathroom was coming off the wall. The toilet was in the same room as the shower so be aware if sharing with friends. There is plenty of food, but it is vegetarian (dairy but no eggs) and heavy with oil. They did offer French fries and pasta with cream sauce when there was not much else for me to eat. They should offer fruit with each meal fruit was limited but they did bring out some when asked.

It little bit on the inner side, but when you enter the property once , you will find everything awesome... Special at evening and night with lights the property looks amazing.... Also they do favour unmarried females and female children... They dont charge for them .. even they distribute chunari for females... nice tradition and different approach .. nice Rooms: 5

My recent stay at Saavaj Resort in Sasan Gir for an office picnic was fantastic. The housekeeping was impeccable, ensuring clean and well-maintained rooms. The staff provided outstanding service, displaying warmth and hospitality throughout our stay. The culinary experience was amazing, with delicious meals catering to all tastes. Overall, Saavaj Resort offered an exceptional stay with top-notch housekeeping, attentive service, and delicious food. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.
