Despite coming recommended we found this a disappointing culinary experience. While portion sizes were adequate, quality of the food was inadequate. Not a lot of flavour to their offerings. The eggroll was 3/4’s dough and heavy. Overall the quality of the ingredients was sub-standard (both the chicken and the beef were tough and had significant amounts of gristle and some of the vegetables were clearly at the end of their shelf life). While we like to support local businesses this will have been a one off. Disappointed and hungry.
Everything was just great. The people at Red Lantern were very easy to work with in making a couple of order modifications. The food was fresh and tasty and everything was as ordered and expected.
Had red lantern delivered. The deluxe wonton soup had very gris sly fatty wontons. Very sparse on vegetables and shrimp. The deep fried shrimp was too heavily breaded, more bread than shrimp. Sweet and sour pork was not really to my liking either. If I wold have been smart would have gonexpected to Asian buffet. Less money, better food.
I used to order from New Red Lantern quite frequently. Havn t ordered in a while so I thought Id try it again. The last two recent orders were so bad I had to write another review June/2018. Lemon chicken, dont think its chicken, tough like jerky, grissel type of something, horrible. Beef egg foo young, greasy, the beef was old and dried out so bad that it was black. Dry ribs were dried out, tough as jerky, some kind of meat, not ribs in my opinion..Literally gross food that got thrown out. $40.00 down the drain. The graet Buffet of China, Mings are way better choices that show how bad the food is at EW RED LANERN. Derrick N.
