Vern's Pizza - Saskatoon

Still think it's kinda gross - too much processed, over-salty meat. Father in law and Hubby like it just b/c there is so much processed meat on it. Plusses - sauce is good, crust is good. They just kill it by piling on lunch meat. Even the "light" is way too salty.

I stopped here at Vern;'s yesterday on my way to Holiday Park Golf Course for 'a slice to go' for lunch. It is located inside a gas station and the place was busy not with people purchasing gas but , rather, with folks like me wanting a tasty light lunch.Light may be the wrong choice of words. Vern's is noted for heaping servings of meat on their pizzas. In fact many will say and I agree that there can be too much meat on them. For that reason I have never purchased a full pizza from Vern's. But one slice is lots for me for a quick lunch or on the way home after a couple of pops.Yesterday I chose the Hawaiin pizza, not a usual choice for me as I am not a big fan of pine apple on pizza preferring olives instead. However the Hawaiin was very fresh looking. They will have a variety of maybe six or seven different pizzas in the warming display case on the counter and lots more in the back. Buy by the slice or the entire pizza. I enjoyed it. It was freshly made, hot and tasty.They don't offer a huge assortment, focusing instead on just a few of the ones most folks demand (or settle for). Te All Meat has too much meat and the Doubl-Double has twice the meat and twice the cheese. Again too much for my liking but it may suit you.BOTTOM LINE: Not my choice for an entire pizza but a slice is nice, that's what they say!Various locations available.

We live in Leader SK 3.5hr drive I've been going to Vern's Pizza when living there since 1994 always great. On Monday morning February 20th ordered 3 15" half loaded half double double extra cheese all 3 for $123 took home for a party unbaked still was tasty when baked but no extra cheese less meat and and VERY little oinions 3 little green peppers pieces 4 pineapple pieces. SAD.

Best thick pizza in town fast and easy pick up they also deliver they put lots and lots of meat on it
