Coast 236 Restaurant Bar - Saugatuck

We love Coast. Expensive and totally worth it. It's one of the few places, we can get a reservation in the Saugatuck/Holland area. We have had Evan several times as a server and he is awesome! We showed up with 7 for a reservation for 6 and they were totally accommodating in adding an extra chair. We will be back!!

We have always loved Coast 236 but our meal Saturday night was exceptional. Pedro was fantastic. and took care of us (and my food allergies! and one of us enjoyed the fixed price tasting menu which was worth every penny. ambiance on the patio was phenomenal and the food and wine was absolutely remarkable.

We have been to Coast 236 many times in the past under different Chefs. We decided to do the 6-course tasting menu this time to get a feel for his style. We were not disappointed. Probably one of the best tasting menus we have ever had at any restaurant. Pricey? Yes. Worth it? Yes. The only thing I would do differently next time is not order the optional $60 wine tasting with it. The wines were lovely and high-end, but the pours were so small, I had a hard time seeing the value. I could see maybe a $30 charge for what we received. Next time we will skip that and just order a nice bottle of wine for the table. Service from Evan was fantastic. Very professional with great explanations on the food and wine courses. We were on the patio on a beautiful summer evening. Gorgeous and relaxing! We are local to Saugatuck so we will make sure to tell friends and neighbors about our experience.

Easily the best meal and experience I've had in years. A year and a half ago I had my taste buds ruined by 7 weeks of radiation from chemo and radiation for throat cancer... basically I'm a toddler now with food...I'm picky and nothing tastes good ?. I had the 9 course tasting menu with a wine pairing. OMG everything was amazing and the one course I knew wouldn't work (I hate being the person who does that! they changed out for me. WONDERFUL! GreAt service, wonderful staff, good wine, lovely atmosphere. Would recommend!

Most of our party had the six course tasting menu, also with several of the cocktail selections. The tasting menu was delicious, flavors on point. Cocktails were interesting and varied. Highly recommend! We ate inside, volume was a little much at times.
