This is the place to come for a relaxing local meal. The service is excellent and the food is delicious. There is a menu, but you can customize almost any dish. The cook is very flexible. I had the fluffy, oh so light and delicious buttermilk pancakes with a generous side of fruit. My companions had a ham and cheddar omelet, a huge bowl of chili and eggs with crisp bacon. Everyone was happy. The secret deserts looked fabulous and are another great reason to come here. The atmosphere is friendly and lively. They are ready to feel welcome. Very recommended.

That was the best dinner I had in a very long time! We started with a fresh salad, served with rosemary bread, it was a well received start to come to the delights....We had a surf and lawn style dinner. The Tenderloin Steak with potatoes was perfectly cooked and delicious for the last bite. The Shrimp Scampi, beautifully presented, was also delicious. I love roasted vegetables and the roasted vegetables served were fresh, colorful and super! We both felt like we had Thanksgiving dinner in a good friend's home in the warm atmosphere. After having a complete dinner, with very generous portions, desert was not on my head. My friend Mark E. Dupre said he wanted to try the Moist Apple cake. It is baked with a freshly made caramel sauce, ice cream, whipped cream, freshly looked apples and cinnamon. Once I tried out this amazing creation that Chrissy called Apple Sundae, I was unable to put my fork down and unnecessarily say a container to go was not necessary. I can't say enough about how satisfied we were! Five stars are not enough!

This well kept secret must be shouted by the peaks of the mountains!!!!! Meatloaf Monday is amazing. We celebrated a birthday and a family coming to town last night, we were 14 people. The chef and the staff have quickly made us feel like their own family, as they have paid attention to our request, and served us a family-style meal that was exactly the same as the grandma used to make. Don't worry if Fleischtau isn't your thing, other tasty decisions too. Don't go in front of the desert. My family and I cannot wait to go back!!!! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

This wonderful place is a Real Find! Staff is warm and welcoming and make you feel at home. Chrissie is a talented chef. Besides her delicious daily dinner specials, she happily will accommodate special requests. Just love her blackened shrimp and cheese grits. Mouth-watering homemade desserts too. Well worth a drive from anywhere!!!
