La Vita Mia - Saugus

This is my absolute favorite Italian restaurant that feels just like home. The food is outstanding, and the service is welcoming and friendly. We visit whenever we can, which is quite frequently. Long live Chef Skinny!

We are heartbroken that the pandemic has compelled you to close this amazing restaurant. We have been loyal patrons for years and have always cherished the food, drinks, and friendships we've formed with other customers. We will especially miss seeing Lisa, Zina, and Steve. We understand how challenging it has been for you to keep the restaurant running. Unfortunately, we have had to stay home for the past month due to family members contracting Covid, which means we can't even stop by to wish you well in your future endeavors. There are so many wonderful things I could say about the food; I've tried nearly all the dishes on the menu, haha! If you're in search of high-quality Italian cuisine and delightful desserts, you should definitely stop by for a tasty meal.

Typically, I would give this place 5 stars, but my last visit was a disappointment. I was really looking forward to it but ended up regretting my choice. I'm hoping for a better experience next time!

The Italian food was just average. The portions were generous, but the quality wasn't impressive. The garden salad with balsamic dressing was overly drenched in vinegar. The pasta dish with rabe and shrimp lacked flavor. The service was standard. That said, given the ongoing pandemic, I've adjusted my expectations, as I haven't had an exceptional meal in quite some time.
